Welcome to my website.  My name is Jayne Shord.  I’m a passionate photographer who loves to capture beautiful images... Whether it’s in Adams County, at Beech Springs Farm or on one of my adventures, I love photographing the beauty that surrounds me.

 

I grew up on a farm near Pittsburgh and have been interested in photography since I was a child.  In 1990, I relocated to Chambersburg and that is where my story begins.  As life in south-central PA has unfolded, photography has become a passion and I’ve been inspired to capture images of the world around me.  My other passion is gardening so you’ll find flowers in many of my photos.

A few years after I relocated to Central PA,, my husband and I purchased a small farm near Gettysburg, PA, where my husband and I and our two retrievers, Ella and Ivy currently live.  The farm’s unique beauty and features are the subject of many of my photos.  Adams County's landscape and the area’s rich history and agricultural heritage also inspire my photos.  I’m especially fond of old barns and have photographed many of them.  Extensive travel in Europe over the past 30 years has also provided inspiration. Steeped in history and culture, Europe is a wonderful place for photographers and my favorite place to take pictures.

 

Basically, my photos fall into three categories:   Beech Springs Farm, Adams County and the rest of the world.  Each of these areas are uniquely different and provide me with inspiration.  I hope you enjoy them.
